Commercial businesses are often asked by insurance companies to conduct an infrared electrical scan inspection as a risk management tool. During an inspection, our highly-trained inspectors locate and report elevated temperatures before service interruption, equipment damage, or a possible fire occurs. However, many companies choose to perform this inspection on their own as part of a conscientious preventive maintenance program.
During an infrared electrical inspection, breaker panels, switch gear, bus heads and other components specific to commercial businesses are inspected. The findings are reported in spreadsheet format and problem areas are illustrated with infrared thermograms. Our company is fully insured, carrying the Professional Liability Insurance that many smaller companies do not carry.
TSI has experienced Level II and Level III thermogaphers who utilize infrared technologies daily.
We are not electricians so we have no financial incentive to find problems that require repair. We offer third-party, unbiased reports.
Some insurance companies will offer premium discounts to companies who perform infrared electrical scans as part of a risk premium modification factor program. However, in older buildings, the insurance company may require a scan just to carry your insurance.
